The Illinois Municipal League (IML) elected officers and members to its Board of Directors at its Annual Business Meeting, held September 26, at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
The IML membership unanimously elected Vandalia Mayor Ricky J. Gottman to serve a one-year term as President. Also elected during the conference were Decatur Mayor Julie Moore Wolfe as First Vice President and River Forest Village President Catherine Adduci as Second Vice President.
In addition to the officers, 36 Vice Presidents were elected to serve a one-year term on the statewide organization’s Board of Directors. Richton Park President Rick Reinbold was elected to serve as a Vice President.
“It is a privilege to be elected to assist in advocating for the benefit of all 1,298 of Illinois’ municipalities, and solving some of the very real issues our community and state face,” said Reinbold. “I am excited to exchange ideas and share solutions with municipal officials statewide, improving not only my community, but the entire State of Illinois.”
Rick Reinbold was elected Village President in 2001, and prior to that, had been a Village Trustee since 1993. He also served in the Military from 1970-1977 as a U.S. Navy Diver and Vietnam Veteran. President Reinbold serves on Boards, Commissions, and Committees such as Chicago Cart Company, South Suburban Mayor's & Managers Assoc. (Former President), Chicago Southland Economic Development Corp. (Vice-Chair), Richton Park Merchants Chamber, Southland Health Care Forum (President), Illinois Municipal League (Vice-President), Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning Board or Directors, Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau Board of Directors, South Suburban Land Bank Board of Directors, American Legion, VFW Post 311 - Richton Park, Southeast Side Vietnam Veteran's Assoc., and CMAP Local Coordinating Committee & Waste Water Committee.
