Rick Reinbold has been a pillar of Southland for decades. He was elected Richton Park Village President in 2001, having been a Village Trustee prior since 1993. He served in the Military from 1970-1977 as a U.S. Navy Diver and Vietnam Veteran. Being a leader is his passion.
Reinbold is the owner of Reinbold Properties, general manager of Englund Properties, and president of the Chicago Cart Company.
President Reinbold also serves on multiple boards, commissions, and committees, including the Metropolitan Mayor's Caucus Terrorism Task Force (chair), I-57 Corridor Council (chairperson), South Suburban Airport Coalition Commission, Matteson Area Chamber of Commerce Advisory Board, South Suburban Mayors & Managers Association (past president, legislative committee chairperson, executive committee, transportation committee), as well as others.
Reinbold is a founding member of the Richton Park Merchant's Chamber, a key Communicator in Rich Township High School and a member of the Family and Youth Initiative Task Force. In 2004, he received the Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Achievement Award. A veteran of the Vietnam War, Reinbold is a proud member of the American Legion and the VFW. He has also represented South Cook County on the CMAP Board and a member of the Local Coordinating Committee.
Rick Reinbold has teamed up with both utility and business organizations to provide more resources and activities to the citizens of Richton Park. Considerable progress has been made in creating a framework to educate and help residents thrive. He is a strong advocate for social equality and opportunity, and his commitment to the community is exemplified through his efforts to allow for a better quality of life for the veterans and citizens of Richton Park.
He has demonstrated dedication and commitment to improving the experiences of both citizens and veterans when interacting, engaging, and transacting with the municipality, as well as surrounding communities. Reinbold is a believer of relationships, respect, grace, and good leadership.
It is with great pleasure and honor, to be able to name Village President Rick Reinbold the title of Outstanding Citizen of the Year.
