Under the leadership of the Village Manager, the Media Coordinator is responsible for creating, enhancing, developing, promoting, and measuring Richton Park's brand, message, and personality across multiple platforms. This is accomplished through graphic design, online programming, video production, photography, public relations and engagement, media outreach, social media management, print publications, signage and wayfinding, and original content - all progressing brand awareness.
The purpose of the Media Coordinator is to effectively share information about Richton Park's initiatives, projects, services and events with residents, businesses, visitors, community organizations and other stakeholders in order to promote an understanding of the village’s goals and objectives. Transparency is key, and to deliver it in a way that resonates with the public is a priority. The Media Coordinator provides creative guidance and production resources to assist all village departments in achieving their communication goals, and implementing various marketing and outreach initiatives aimed at fostering civic pride, promoting positive experiences, and increasing community engagement.
The Media Coordinator serves as a main point of contact for media inquiries. In case of an emergency, the Media Coordinator will work closely with public safety information officers and leaders to organize and disseminate vital information to ensure public safety.
