On Thursday, October 2, 2025, at approximately 5:34 pm, Richton Park Officers responded to a call for shots being fired on the 22200 block of Karlov.
Upon arrival, officers determined one male adult victim, (22 yrs old) who had sustained a gunshot wound to his chest area.
Multiple shots were fired by the unidentified suspect(s) who fled the area in a black vehicle; prior to the arrival of police. The male victim was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
This is an isolated incident, and is currently under investigation. At this time, there is no active threat to the Richton Park community.
