Registering pets with the Village is important to maintain public health and it helps the police reunite a lost pet with its owner. All dogs and cats older than six months are required to have a current animal tag. Proof of a rabies inoculation made within the last year must be presented at the time of purchase.

Animal tags expire on December 31st of each year and must be renewed annually.

There is NO COST for Village of Richton Park Pet Tags.

No person shall own or harbor, at any one time in the Village, more than two dogs or cats of licensing age. (Ord. 321A.  Passed 4-22-69; 1976 Code 4-33.)
